The BJP government has taken a firm stand against illegal infiltrators in Delhi. Home Minister Ashish Sood announced measures to expel illegal residents and penalize those providing them support during a recent Assembly session.
Sood stressed Delhi's resources should benefit legal residents only. He accused the AAP of facilitating illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya settlements in the capital. The BJP aims to tighten control over immigration through detention centers and new policies.
Addressing the Assembly on the 2025-26 budget, Sood criticized the previous AAP administration for excessive spending on publicity, while pledging the BJP's commitment to realizing the vision of a developed Delhi through its budget initiatives.
