In a call to action, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday encouraged young women to participate in politics, marking it as a crucial step towards meaningful change. Speaking at the annual convocation held at Ludhiana's Government College for Girls, Mann emphasized the importance of women's roles in decision-making processes.
Mann pointed out that while women have excelled in many sectors, their presence in politics remains inadequate. He stressed the importance of female participation in politics to foster an egalitarian society and strengthen democracy. Mann urged women to vote wisely to elect leaders who truly represent their interests.
The chief minister highlighted the Punjab government's initiatives to boost female representation, with significant appointments of women in key governmental roles, and credited these efforts with contributing to Punjab's progress.
