Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday celebrated the achievement of successfully orchestrating the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, which witnessed an overwhelming convergence of 66 crore devotees within just 45 days. The gathering, which transformed the temporary city into a spiritual hub, highlighted India's cultural and religious magnetism.
During the inaugural ceremony of a national seminar on 'Contribution of Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath of Indian Yoga tradition' at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, CM Yogi reflected on the meticulous planning and execution that began with preparatory meetings in November 2022. He emphasized the need for diligent teamwork to avoid infrastructural pitfalls like those seen during the Commonwealth Games.
Adityanath underscored the economic and spiritual impact of the event, asserting a significant return on the Rs 7,000 crore investment, elevating it to Rs 3 lakh crore, while showcasing India's spiritual power to the world. He advocated for a deeper connection with India's Upanishadic wisdom, pointing to the shifting global focus on Indian traditions, including yoga and Buddhist philosophy.
