Japan's Economic Strategy: Countering Rising Prices
Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba has pledged to implement strong measures to address rising prices. This was conveyed to the Komeito party's leader, as reported by Tetsuo Saito. Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi clarified Ishiba's intention to utilize existing budget plans without new spending.

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba has communicated his commitment to address the nation's growing price concerns with strong measures. The assurance was made in a discussion with the leader of the coalition's junior partner, Komeito party, Tetsuo Saito said.
Clarifying this statement, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi stated at a press conference that Ishiba's strategy involves deploying policy steps already incorporated in the current fiscal year's extra budget and the upcoming year's draft budget.
Hayashi emphasized that the prime minister's plan does not entail new expenditures but rather the efficient use of existing budgetary provisions.
