In a sharp rebuke to stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra's remarks about Eknath Shinde, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi criticized the Maharashtra government's handling of criticism. Chaturvedi emphasized that the state's reaction underscored a worrying trend of intolerance towards dissent.

Kamra, who remains unapologetic about his comments made during a recent show, has drawn the ire of Maharashtra officials, including Minister of State for Home Yogesh Kadam.
