The political scene in Karnataka is heating up as the BJP calls for the resignation of Minister Priyank Kharge. This demand follows allegations tied to the tragic suicide of contractor Sachin Monappa Panchal in Bidar. Home Minister G Parameshwara has stated that initial findings suggest Kharge has no involvement.
A seven-page note left by the deceased contractor accuses Raju Kapanur, reportedly close to Kharge, of issuing threats and demanding bribes. The note also lists several others implicated in corrupt practices that may have contributed to the contractor's desperate act.
The BJP is escalating the situation, pressing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for Kharge's resignation and threatening major demonstrations if their demands are not met. The case, now under CID scrutiny, is expected to unravel more details about the alleged political misconduct.
