Rahul Gandhi, a Congress leader, accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of considering the Indian Constitution's 'red book' as empty, alleging Modi has never read it. During a rally in Nandurbar, Maharashtra, Gandhi vehemently asserted the book encompasses India's soul and principles established by revered national leaders like Birsa Munda and Dr B R Ambedkar.
Gandhi, disparaging BJP leaders for their attempts to associate the 'red book' with urban Naxalism, defended the text's sanctity by drawing on its historic significance. He criticized the BJP and the RSS for disparaging adivasis by labeling them as 'vanvasi' instead of acknowledging their rights as the nation's original inhabitants.
Highlighting the Maha Vikas Aghadi's manifesto, Gandhi underscored commitments to societal welfare, including financial support to farmers and youth. He condemned the transfer of significant projects from Maharashtra and reiterated the necessity of a caste census to ensure fair representation of marginalized communities in decision-making processes.
