Political Tensions Rise as YSRCP Accuses TDP Government of Harassment

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has accused the Andhra Pradesh government's TDP-led NDA coalition of a campaign against its social media activists. Allegations include serving 680 notices, registering 147 cases, and arresting 49 activists.
YSRCP leader Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy detailed the alleged harassment during a press conference, emphasizing that such actions should be constrained to CrPC 41A notices. He criticized the government for purportedly exceeding legal boundaries, stating that the regime cannot 'pick people up and beat them.'
Reddy warned that if these practices continued, they could silence dissent altogether. The allegations include illegal detentions and harassing tactics spread across various police locations, breaching standards of governance.
