On November 13, the Jharkhand BJP lodged a formal complaint with the Election Commission, accusing the Hemant Soren-led government of financial misconduct. The allegations claim unauthorized money transfers into accounts of beneficiaries under the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiyan Samman Yojana occurred the night before elections.
The party also targeted Congress candidate Ajay Nath Shahdeo and JMM candidate Mahua Maji, accusing them of violating the model code of conduct. BJP representatives demanded an investigation into financial transfers and alleged that misconduct evidence had been submitted to support their claims.
The BJP pointed out inconsistencies in the scheduled fund transfers and cited additional infractions, such as voter slip distributions and inappropriate campaign activities. They called upon the Election Commission for immediate action to ensure fair election practices.
