Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray's convoy experienced an unexpected halt at the Maharashtra-Goa border checkpoint on Wednesday, stirring political tensions.
This incident followed closely on the heels of bags belonging to the former Maharashtra chief minister being checked by election officials in Yavatmal district, sparking allegations of selective scrutiny from Thackeray.
While on a campaign tour with his son, visuals captured the moment Thackeray's carcade was obstructed, only to be allowed to continue upon identification. Thackeray later challenged the impartiality of such checks, questioning why similar scrutiny wasn't applied to PM Modi and Amit Shah.
