BJP heavyweight Suvendu Adhikari launched a scathing attack on West Bengal's TMC government, predicting that Mamata Banerjee would be a 'former chief minister' by 2026. He accused her administration of financially mismanaging the state.
Speaking at a rally in Howrah, Adhikari vowed that under BJP governance, job opportunities and financial stability would return. Criticizing the state's shift from permanent to temporary employment, he alleged that these roles lack security. He also condemned allocation of funds from long-term investments to welfare schemes like 'Lakshmir Bhandar'.
Asserting that TMC leaders, including Abhishek Banerjee, would face legal actions, Adhikari also voiced strong support for Group D workers demanding job permanency and higher wages, urging them to continue their struggle. Meanwhile, TMC's Kunal Ghosh dismissed Adhikari's predictions as baseless.
