The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee, led by Chief Tariq Hameed Karra, is preparing for crucial local elections slated for early next year. Karra called on party workers to intensify efforts in order to secure victories in the panchayat and urban local bodies polls.
Karra stressed the importance of promoting second-line leadership based on merit, making it clear that favoritism would not be tolerated. He insisted on the establishment of strong grassroots-level committees by involving dedicated workers committed to the party's success.
In light of the party's lackluster performance in recent assembly elections, Karra emphasized a renewed campaign to strengthen the party's fundamental ideology. The meeting, attended by former ministers and legislators, aimed to devise strategies for upcoming political events, including birth anniversaries of key leaders and Constitution Day.
