VHP Highlights Alleged Attacks on Hindus Amid Political Controversy

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Tuesday unveiled a comprehensive list citing over 300 alleged assaults on Hindus and their temples across the country since January of the previous year. The organization claimed these incidents expose a troubling trend that demands attention.
VHP joint general secretary Surendra Jain, during a press conference, emphasized that the documented 'attacks and atrocities' are based on media reports and represent only a fraction of the real occurrences. He criticized secular politicians for their perceived silence on these issues.
Jain defended Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's controversial statement, viewing it as a factual representation of the current climate, rather than a communal remark. The contentious remarks come amid allegations from opposition parties, like the Congress, accusing the BJP and RSS of using divisive rhetoric ahead of crucial state elections.
