Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp critique against the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) during a rally in Solapur, Maharashtra, on Tuesday. He likened the MVA's leadership to a vehicle lacking both wheels and brakes, plagued by internal disputes over direction. Modi stressed the need for Maharashtra to elect a stable Mahayuti government to ensure lasting developmental policies.

Highlighting governance issues, Modi accused Congress, a key ally in the MVA, of leaving unresolved challenges that have burdened the region for decades. He pointed out significant improvements in Solapur's water table, attributing these changes to his government's initiatives, contrasting them with the previous administration's inaction on agricultural issues, notably irrigation.

Modi also underscored his government's focus on women's empowerment. Citing the 'Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana' as a commitment to women's welfare, he criticized the opposition for trying to impede such schemes. Additionally, Modi highlighted advancements in the sugar cane sector through ethanol production, which he argued had been neglected by former governments. As campaigning intensifies across Maharashtra's 288 assembly constituencies, both the ruling Mahayuti and the opposition are vying for voter support ahead of the polls scheduled for November 20, with results to be announced on November 23.
