In a fiery address, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari put forward claims that Congress had misrepresented India's Constitution for its own gains. Asserting the BJP's stance, he declared that neither will the party alter Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's Constitution, nor will it permit any changes by others.
Gadkari, campaigning for BJP candidate Charansingh Thakur in Katol, countered accusations from Congress about potential constitutional amendments by the BJP. Referencing the landmark Kesavananda Bharti case, he stressed that fundamental elements like freedom of speech and secularism are immutable.
He invoked historical figures like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Mahatma Gandhi to advocate for a society devoid of casteism and urged voters to elect leaders based on merit, not caste nor religion, highlighting the Mahayuti government's inclusive welfare schemes.
