The Haryana Assembly's winter session is set to commence with the opposition Congress poised to grill the BJP government over a reported shortage of di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) fertilizer, which has hit farmers.
Despite Congress' claims, Haryana Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana maintains that DAP supply is sufficient and uninterrupted. The session, scheduled for November 13, 14, and 18, will also witness the introduction of bills, including one on contractual job security.
Amidst the ongoing political discourse, the Congress has yet to announce its legislative party leader, adding to the tension within the party ranks following three consecutive electoral defeats. Opposition figures aim to highlight issues ranging from agriculture to urban sanitation.
