The Kremlin has vehemently denied recent reports suggesting that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump engaged in a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. These allegations were branded as 'pure fiction' by Kremlin representatives.

The Washington Post was the first to report on this alleged conversation, followed by Reuters, both claiming the call took place last Thursday.

However, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has clarified that there are currently no plans for any discussions between the two leaders.
