British Defence Minister John Healey expressed confidence on Monday that the United States will continue to support Ukraine alongside Western allies in its ongoing conflict with Russia.
In an interview with Sky News, Healey addressed concerns about declining support following Donald Trump's recent victory in the U.S. presidential election. He maintained that President Trump understands the necessity of strong alliances, such as NATO, for securing peace and stability.
Healey stated, "I expect the U.S. to stand firm with allies like the UK, supporting Ukraine until it successfully overcomes President Vladimir Putin's invasion."
