The Trinamool Congress (TMC) expressed strong objections to the Election Commission, criticizing its delayed response regarding the alleged misuse of central forces in West Bengal's ongoing bypolls.
Prominent TMC leaders, including Sudip Bandopadhyay and Derek O'Brien, presented grievances alleging CAPF personnel engaged in activities favorable to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in an attempt to influence voters.
Despite the serious nature of the allegations, the response from the Election Commission has been perceived as delayed, raising questions over its role in maintaining electoral fairness. TMC also condemned derogatory comments from BJP leaders, demanding immediate action from the election body.
