The Congress party has launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led Mahayuti government in Maharashtra, alleging that its election campaign is deliberately sowing discord and hostility among communities. Party general secretary Jairam Ramesh criticized the approach, suggesting that it highlights the 'sick mindset' within the BJP ranks.
According to Ramesh, the Mahayuti alliance's campaign has veered dangerously towards polarizing society along religious lines, thereby risking the disruption of communal harmony in the state. He expressed confidence that Maharashtra's electorate will robustly reject such negativity on November 20.
In contrast, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), led by Congress, vows to campaign on people's daily issues such as the plight of farmers, rising essential goods prices, youth unemployment, and social justice for marginalized groups, as voters prepare for the pivotal polls.
