In a sharp critique of Bihar's leadership, Jan Suraaj Party chief Prashant Kishor has called out Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the BJP at the Centre, questioning the poor socio-economic state of Bihar. Speaking at a press conference, Kishor urged for transparent data release, pointing to NITI Aayog's statistics to back his claims.
He emphasized, "Under Nitish Kumar's rule and central BJP leadership, Bihar has become the poorest and most uneducated state. It's time for honesty about the state's condition." He also pointed out the ineffective governance over decades, urging a systemic change desired by the public.
In response, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar defended his governance record during a public address, underscoring efforts to uplift all communities, including Muslims, through initiatives like madrasa recognition and salary parity for teachers. He contrasted his administration with the Rashtriya Janata Dal era, known for unrest and fear, vowing continued progress and unity.
