Ukraine's foreign ministry vehemently denied claims that it had prior knowledge of a phone call between U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Washington Post had reported that Trump and Putin had a telephonic discussion on Thursday, primarily focusing on the ongoing war in Ukraine. According to their sources, Kyiv was briefed on this call and did not raise objections.
Refuting these claims, foreign ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi stated that reports suggesting Ukraine had been informed in advance were unfounded and inaccurate. As a result, Ukraine couldn't have endorsed or opposed the call.
