Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has openly criticized opposition leader Edappadi K Palaniswami, questioning his commitment to public welfare and accusing him of merely seeking office for personal gain. Stalin's remarks came in response to Palaniswami's claims that government schemes named after late Chief Minister M Karunanidhi are not beneficial to the public.
Stalin listed several initiatives such as the Kalaignar centenary library, jallikattu arena, a hospital, and financial assistance for women, all of which honor Karunanidhi, demanding to know which are non-beneficial. He asserted these accusations of being false and indicative of Palaniswami's arrogance, predicting such attitudes would lead to AIADMK's downfall.
The CM inaugurated Virudhunagar's new district collectorate, alongside launching projects worth Rs 21.36 crore and distributing welfare benefits totaling Rs 417.21 crore to over 57,000 beneficiaries. This underscores the ongoing dedication to public service and defending the legacy of Karunanidhi, whom Stalin credits for a lifetime of devotion to the people.
