Sharad Pawar, NCP (SP) chief, has called for the removal of Maharashtra's ruling alliance over their alleged indifference to the distress of farmers battling plummeting crop prices.
Speaking at a rally in Gangapur, Pawar highlighted the dire situation faced by farmers of sugarcane, soybean, and jowar, noting that 950 farmers have committed suicide in the past nine months due to financial burdens.
Pawar urged for a loan waiver similar to the Rs 71,000 crore relief granted during the NCP-Congress rule, criticizing the Union government's inaction. The political climate heats up as Maharashtra assembly polls approach.
