Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the Congress-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), accusing them of pursuing appeasement politics by supporting Muslim reservations at the cost of other marginalized communities like Dalits, tribals, and OBCs.
Speaking at rallies in Maharashtra, Shah warned that the MVA's demand for a 10 percent quota for Muslims would infringe on the current reservation cap, adversely affecting other communities. He reiterated the BJP's staunch opposition to religion-based reservations, criticising the Congress for compromising on national security for vote bank politics.
Shah lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure, attributing significant industrial growth and strategic defense actions to the NDA's leadership, while blaming the MVA for stalling development projects in Maharashtra. Highlighting BJP's inclusive governance, he affirmed that the party works for the benefit of all communities without religious bias.
