Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey launched a scathing attack on the BJP following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarks that Congress-ruled states serve as ATMs for the party's leadership. Dubey claims this 'restlessness' in BJP arises from their recent Lok Sabha performance, hinting at a pending defeat in the state assembly polls.
In a statement to ANI, Dubey emphasized that BJP's anxiety is evident since their win of only 17 of 48 Lok Sabha seats. He contends the party's desperation to regain public trust highlights the opposition's strength in Maharashtra under the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition.
Prime Minister Modi accused the Congress of extorting Rs 700 crore from Karnataka's liquor sellers to finance Maharashtra campaigns. Addressing Mahayuti allies, Modi criticized Congress for disregarding national sentiments and the Constitution ahead of the state elections set for November 20. The results will be declared on November 23.
