Yogi Adityanath's New Definition of 'PDA': A Political Jab
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath redefined 'PDA', a term used by the Samajwadi Party (SP), as 'Production House of Dangai (Rioters) and Apradhi (Criminals).' Speaking at a rally, he criticized the SP, associating criminals with the party and highlighting law enforcement as a priority under his government.

In a sharp political move on Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reinterpreted the Samajwadi Party's (SP) acronym 'PDA'. Originally coined by SP's Akhilesh Yadav during the 2022 polls to represent backwards, Dalits, and minorities, Adityanath offered a controversial alternative: 'Production House of Dangai (Rioters) and Apradhi (Criminals)'.
Addressing a rally in Katehari of Ambedkar Nagar ahead of the November 20 bypolls, the Chief Minister attacked the SP by associating notorious figures like mafia leaders Atiq Ahmad and Khan Mubarak with the party. He claimed that the 'double-engine' government halted their activities.
Adityanath further alleged that the mere presence of an SP member instilled fear among women, referencing recent cases of crime as politically motivated issues. The Chief Minister's remarks underscored his government's focus on law and order.
