On Sunday, Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor launched a fierce attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, labeling him 'shameless' and accusing him of betraying the Muslim community by allying with the BJP.

Kishor, once a close associate of Kumar, made these remarks when questioned about JD(U) leader Kumar's outreach efforts to minorities during the by-poll campaigns.

Explaining his stance, Kishor recalled Kumar's government formation in 2015 with Muslim support, only to realign with BJP in 2017. Kishor further accused Kumar of collaborating on a law threatening to disenfranchise Muslims and criticized Kumar's alliance shifts, contending that it frustrates the people of Bihar.
