Union minister Amit Shah on Sunday criticized Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray for aligning with the Congress, accusing the party's leaders of insulting revered figures Balasaheb Thackeray and Veer Savarkar. Shah challenged Uddhav Thackeray to convince Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to honor these leaders with positive remarks.
After unveiling the BJP's manifesto for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections scheduled for November 20, Shah denounced Congress for promising minority reservations without constitutional backing, urging voters to recognize such issues.
Shah also accused the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance of lacking credibility and criticized Congress for failing to fulfill pre-election promises in its governed states. Shah urged Maharashtra's citizens to question Sharad Pawar's contributions during his tenure as a minister.
