Trump Omits Haley and Pompeo from New Administration
President-elect Donald Trump announced he would not include Nikki Haley and Mike Pompeo in his forming administration. Trump is considering potential candidates like Scott Bessent for key roles. Former associates Haley and Pompeo have notable political backgrounds but will not be part of Trump’s cabinet.
In a recent social media announcement, President-elect Donald Trump confirmed that former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo would not join his new administration. The declaration follows a series of meetings with potential candidates as Trump assembles his government team.
Among those under consideration for key positions is Scott Bessent, a well-known investor, reportedly discussed for the U.S. Treasury Secretary role. Despite past criticisms, Haley had endorsed Trump during her run against him in the Republican primaries. Pompeo, once a potential Defense Secretary candidate, recently withdrew from the presidential race.
As his inauguration approaches, Trump continues to use social media for major personnel announcements. Additionally, he revealed that the 2025 inauguration will be headed by Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler, marking a significant event in the political calendar.
