In a spirited rally, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called for a 'Dharma-yuddha' of votes to counteract what he described as a 'Vote Jihad' ahead of the November 20 assembly elections. The campaign, in support of Mahayuti coalition candidates, was marked by strong rhetoric and a call for unity among voters.
Highlighting the renaming of Aurangabad to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Fadnavis underscored the historical significance and projected the city as a saffron stronghold. He criticized unnamed political figures and parties for their reluctance to acknowledge this heritage, while advocating against the alleged divisive tactics of rivals such as AIMIM.
Fadnavis touted significant projects, including a Rs 1600 crore water pipeline scheme and the Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi highway, which aimed to bolster investment and resolve infrastructure issues in the city. He assured further development with new projects, including a sports university and expanded airport facilities, promising substantial economic growth in the region.
