In a stark critique, Samajwadi Party head Akhilesh Yadav targeted Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday, emphasizing that being a 'yogi' is not about appearances but about one's deeds and words.
During an event marking the birth anniversary of 'Khajanchi,' Yadav underscored the failures of demonetization, calling it a 'cosmetic exercise' and a symbol of corruption and repression. He likened its lingering impact to a 'slow poison' affecting various social classes.
Yadav also accused the BJP government of deviating from constitutional governance, highlighting issues such as misuse of power, farming hardships, and public unrest. He signaled a strategic approach in the upcoming bypolls to counteract the BJP's diminishing credibility.
