BEIRUT — Overnight airstrikes by Israel's air force devastated Beirut's southern suburb, Dahiyeh, obliterating multiple buildings, according to Lebanon's National News Agency on Friday.
No casualties were immediately reported, as the assault followed recent intensified strikes on Baalbek, southern Lebanon, and other regions.
Amid the escalating conflict, international mediators have intensified efforts to quell hostilities in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, circulating new proposals. Lebanon's Health Ministry reported over 2,800 deaths and 13,000 injuries since October 8, 2023. Meanwhile, the Gaza war death toll surpassed 43,000, following an attack by Hamas-led militants on October 7, 2023.
