In a noteworthy statement on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated India's commitment to equipping its military with cutting-edge resources to meet the demands of the twenty-first century. Addressing troops during a Diwali celebration, PM Modi emphasized efforts to place India among the world's most advanced armed forces, driven by self-reliance in the defense sector.

Highlighting the role of border tourism in national security, Modi pointed out the untapped potential of Gujarat's Kachchh region. "This region's heritage sites and natural gifts, such as mangrove forests, offer remarkable opportunities," he said, noting governmental steps to cultivate these areas while underscoring the nation's unyielding stance on its territorial integrity.

Modi's Diwali engagements included celebrations with personnel from the Border Security Force, Army, Navy, and Air Force in the challenging terrains of Lakki Nala, Kachchh. He also paid homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Statue of Unity on National Unity Day and attended an impressive air show by the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team.
