Communist Party of India (CPI) General Secretary D Raja has criticized Congress for its handling of seat-sharing discussions within the INDIA block, urging the party to reflect on its electoral strategies instead of questioning the BJP.
Raja's remarks came after Congress figure Ramesh Chennithala accused the BJP of undermining alliances, saying, "BJP is finishing their allies." Raja, however, directed attention back to Congress, questioning their commitment to cooperating with secular parties to combat BJP's dominance.
CPI sources expressed dissatisfaction with Congress's conduct during the Haryana Assembly elections, where seat-sharing promises went unfulfilled. CPI also noted minimal seat allocations in Jharkhand and Maharashtra, challenging the integrity of the INDIA alliance.
