In a significant legal move, BJP MPs from Delhi have approached the High Court, challenging the Aam Aadmi Party's decision not to implement the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme in the national capital. This development was revealed by state BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Wednesday.

At a press conference, Sachdeva criticized AAP and its leader, Arvind Kejriwal, for allegedly denying thousands of Delhi residents the benefits of the central government's health insurance initiative. Despite this, Kejriwal countered with claims of corruption within the scheme, citing a Comptroller and Auditor General report.

The confrontation escalated following remarks made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticizing Delhi and West Bengal governments for non-implementation. BJP claims AAP previously promised the scheme's execution in Delhi, with Sachdeva vowing to pursue legal avenues to secure its benefits for eligible citizens in the capital.
