A horrific incident in Kabiruddinpur village, involving a 17-year-old's beheading, underscores the dangerous heights of land disputes. The violence erupted between the families of Ramjeet Yadav and Lalta Yadav, police confirmed Wednesday.
The altercation began when Ramesh Yadav, Lalta's son, started clearing the contested land, intensifying tensions. Amid the ensuing clash, Ramesh fatally attacked Anurag Yadav, son of Ramjeet Yadav, with a sword. Ramesh remains at large while Lalta has been detained, and police patrols are increasing to avert further violence.
In the aftermath, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav criticized the state government for failing to maintain law and order, highlighting the perceived rise in criminal elements. He voiced discontent with the ruling BJP, attributing the state's governance failure as a reason for the escalating crimes.
