Youth Surge: 91% Rise in Young Voters in Delhi
Delhi has seen a significant 91% increase in registered voters aged 18-19, boosting youth participation in democracy. The total number of registered voters in the city stands at 1.53 crore. A special summary revision of electoral rolls is underway to ensure accurate data for the upcoming assembly elections.

The number of registered voters in the 18-19 age group in Delhi has surged by about 91 per cent from last year, according to the latest data released by the electoral authorities.
This substantial rise marks a significant boost to youth participation in the democratic process, as the current figure now stands at 1,55,748. In comparison, only 81,657 were registered in this age bracket by October 2023.
The total number of voters registered in Delhi is currently 1.53 crore. As the city prepares for the February assembly elections, a special summary revision of the electoral rolls has been launched to address new voter registrations, corrections, and reflect the latest population changes.
