Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated his commitment to boosting employment in India, particularly for the youth, during a recent 'Rozgar Mela' event. The event, where over 51,000 government job appointment letters were distributed, underscored the government's efforts to catalyze job creation through technological and sectoral advancements.
Addressing the gathering via video link, Modi criticized previous governments for their lack of foresight in harnessing new technologies, which hindered India's progress. He affirmed that his administration is focused on modernizing various sectors, including space and semiconductors, to generate abundant employment opportunities.
The Prime Minister highlighted numerous initiatives, such as the Production-linked Incentives scheme and the development of startup ecosystems, marking over 1.5 lakh startups launched under his tenure. Various infrastructure projects and international agreements are also designed to expand job prospects nationwide and abroad.
