Dilip Khedkar, father of dismissed IAS officer Puja Khedkar, is contesting the Shevgaon assembly seat as an independent candidate. Previously, he was a candidate in the Lok Sabha elections but did not succeed.
Khedkar's election affidavit this time avoids details about his wife, a deviation from his previous disclosures. He is also entangled in a criminal case related to a land dispute with her.
