Indian MPs to Attend UNGA in Unofficial Delegation
An unofficial group of Indian MPs from various parties will attend the UN General Assembly from November 4-8, without participating in official discussions. This move comes after a push from the Trinamool Congress to re-establish Indian parliamentary presence at the UNGA, absent since 2015.

An unofficial delegation comprising Members of Parliament from India's Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha is set to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) next month, sources revealed on Tuesday.
This group, which includes senior MPs from various political affiliations, will be in New York from November 4 to November 8. Notably, they will not engage in debates or committee meetings during the session, sources added.
The decision follows calls from the Trinamool Congress, advocating for India's parliamentary participation in the UNGA, which has been missing since 2015. Senior figures such as Ram Gopal Yadav, Tiruchi Siva, and Rajeev Shukla are among those making the trip.
