Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) candidate Amit Thackeray, vying for the Mahim constituency, has declared a strong commitment to his candidacy, describing it as a 'great' responsibility. Thackeray, son of MNS leader Raj Thackeray, aims to enthusiastically serve his constituents by prioritizing personal engagement.

Thackeray highlighted his preference for door-to-door campaigning, valuing direct connections with voters. He officially filed his nomination for the Mahim constituency on Monday, gearing up for the assembly elections looming in Maharashtra.

The Maharashtra Assembly election is scheduled for November 20, with results expected by November 23. On Monday, MNS released its seventh list of 18 candidates, reflecting a robust strategy ahead of the polls and further diversifying its electoral base across the state.

The nomination window for the single-phase polls will close on Tuesday, with scrutiny set for Wednesday. The final date for withdrawing candidatures is November 4. A substantial 4,426 nominations have been filed across 288 constituencies as per the Chief Election Officer, indicating a vibrant political contest this election season.
