An international conference in Paris successfully raised a total of $1 billion for Lebanon, comprising $800 million in humanitarian aid and an additional $200 million directed to the country's army, according to France's Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot.
The event saw participation from around 70 government delegations and 15 international organizations, all gathered with the objective of raising a minimum of 500 million euros and promoting a ceasefire.
However, diplomats expressed skepticism regarding significant progress, noting that with the United States preoccupied with its own efforts, expectations of tangible developments remain subdued.
