The Samajwadi Party (SP) has unveiled two additional candidates for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly bypolls scheduled for November 13. This comes after the party initially announced six candidates, bringing the total to eight.

Singh Raj Yadav is set to contest from the Ghaziabad seat, while Charu Jain will compete for the Khair (Aligarh) seat. A bypoll is being held in these areas after the previous MLAs were elected as MPs or disqualified.

The Election Commission called the by-elections for nine seats, except Milkipur due to a court case. The SP still has to announce its candidate for the Kundarki seat. The last date for nominations is October 25, with vote counting on November 23.
