Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K T Rama Rao launched a scathing attack on the ruling Congress and BJP for failing to fulfill their election promises. In a rally held at Adilabad, he declared his preparedness to go to jail, underscoring his commitment to the farmers' cause.
Rama Rao accused both parties, stating there was little distinction between them. He pointed out unfulfilled promises such as the revival of the Cement Corporation of India plant, as pledged by BJP leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Citing specific unaddressed promises, he also highlighted unmet pledges of the Congress government, including marriage gold assistance, financial aid to farmers, and job creation. He further promised to ensure fair compensation for Telangana cotton farmers.
