Chandrakant Patil, a prominent Maharashtra minister and BJP candidate from the Kothrud assembly constituency, expressed on Thursday that the controversial handling of the Waqf amendment bill has led to a sense of betrayal among the people. This sentiment, he believes, will drive citizens to decisively support the Bharatiya Janata Party in the forthcoming assembly elections.
Highlighting the BJP's strong stance, Patil noted the difference in legislative handling compared to Article 370's abrogation. He urged electorates to correct past lapses and ensure a landslide victory. Patil officially entered the electoral fray, having filed his nomination after a visit to the Vinayak Damodar Savarkar memorial in Pune.
Selected once again by the party leadership, Patil reaffirmed his dedication to addressing local issues in Kothrud, where he contends only minor challenges remain. As broader political alliances battle in Maharashtra, voters will play a critical role in shaping the November 20 elections, with results expected on November 23.
