NCP Unveils Candidates for Maharashtra Assembly Elections

The Nationalist Congress Party has revealed its first list of 38 candidates for the Maharashtra assembly elections on November 20. Deputy CM Ajit Pawar leads by running for the Baramati seat. Key figures from other parties, including Congress and BJP, have also been fielded by NCP.

The Nationalist Congress Party has announced its initial lineup of 38 candidates for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections on November 20. Leading the list is Deputy Chief Minister and party head Ajit Pawar, contesting from the Baramati seat in Pune district.

The list includes 26 sitting MLAs, many of whom supported Ajit Pawar when he joined the ruling coalition. Notable candidates are Sulbha Khodke from Amravati and Hiraman Khoskar from Igatpuri, who recently shifted allegiance from the Congress to the NCP.

In addition, Bharat Gavit, son of the late Congress veteran Manikrao Gavit, will contest from Navapur. Deputy Speaker of the state assembly Narhari Zirwal is running from Dindori, and state cabinet minister Chhagan Bhujbal from Yeola. Former BJP minister Rajkumar Badole has been nominated for Arjuni-Morgaon.
