In the tumultuous politics of Madhya Pradesh, BJP supporters in Budhni are casting an ultimatum to their party leadership. The steadfast followers of Rajendra Singh are clamoring for his nomination in the upcoming bypoll, threatening to choose NOTA should their demands be unheeded.
Tensions rose as videos emerged of a meeting in Bherunda town, where Singh's supporters vocally insisted on replacing the announced candidate, Ramakant Bhargava. The BJP had nominated Bhargava for the November 13 bypoll after the seat was vacated by Shivraj Singh Chouhan, now the Union agriculture minister.
Amidst this pressure, former minister Rampal Singh intervened, advising private discussions. However, supporters remained insistent in their call for Rajendra Singh's candidacy, highlighting party loyalty but expressing dissatisfaction with current decisions.
