The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a pivotal 'Sangathan Parv' workshop in New Delhi, orchestrated by National President JP Nadda. The gathering saw the attendance of prominent BJP state presidents, general secretaries, and state-in-charges, as well as key figures overseeing the nationwide membership drive.
The seven-hour meeting delved into strategies for the party's organizational elections, a process in motion for over two months, alongside a membership drive spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi since September 2, 2024. Attendees included National Returning Officer K Laxman, National General Secretary (org) BL Santosh, Vice-President Rekha Verma, and co-returning officers MPs Sambit Patra and Naresh.
During this extensive meeting, UP State President Bhupender Chaudhary highlighted plans for leadership elections from the booth to the national level, dubbed the 'Sangathan Mahaparv 2024'. The committee has also selected candidates for UP's assembly by-elections. This leadership renewal aligns with the enlistment of over 9 crore new members under JP Nadda's tenure, extended to ensure a fluid transition.
