In a significant political development, two former BJP legislators, Louis Marandi and Kunal Sarangi, have formally joined the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). This move comes as the state prepares for upcoming assembly polls.
The transition was announced just two days after former BJP legislator Kedar Hazra and AJSU Party's Umakant Rajak also aligned with JMM, indicating a growing shift in political allegiances within Jharkhand.
Sarangi, previously a key spokesperson for BJP in Jharkhand, cited disenchantment with the party's leadership and organizational issues as his reasons for leaving. Marandi's shift follows her 2014 victory over Chief Minister Hemant Soren, with recent elections seeing reversals in these pivotal constituencies.
